Owners Steven and Lisa Olek were born and raised in Brooklyn, New York living only blocks from each other, sharing a common background, friends and foods throughout their lives. They met in the 80's, married and soon had 4 children. They had always dreamed of opening up a place where people could experience the foods they grew up with. The comfort foods their grandparents made with love and family in mind. Age old recipes using only the freshest ingredients.  Simple foods  prepared from scratch that seemed to have faded away as one by one delicatessens closed all around them. It became their dream to bring the old-world  into the new and introduce a whole new generation to the flavors of their past. When Steve and Lisa relocated their family to Hollywood, Florida in 2001 they decided to bring their dreams with them, and The Pastrami Joint was born.
